My croque monsieur french toast was delicious. Would love to it again. The menu had a lot of fancy options so it would be good if there were a few more basic options. It would be nice if it was possible to swap out toppings on the pancakes or french toast for other things as some people don’t like banana etc. Really big restaurant with loads of tables. Was very busy so would recommend booking.

We went for brunch. This is a friendly, homie, restaurant. Staff were so nice. The place we nice and quiet. It has a very good location. While in the heart of city but separated from roads and car noises. The food was amazing. I loved my smoked salmon egg benedict. We also had burger, French toast and I think bruschetta. All were tasty.

The smoked salmon options are great and really well balanced, coffee is great too. Sometimes brunch food can be bland but you can tell they’ve put thought and care in to the balance of flavours and curation of their dishes. Some of the best scones we’ve ever had - they’re huge! I will say its a shame for their veggie or full breakfast you need to order 2.50 toast separately, should definitely be included you can buy a whole loaf of bread for that much lol

Stopped for brunch on a weekday. The restaurant was pretty full and we didn’t have a reservation. Luckily there was a spot in the corner where a table was available. Coffee and beverages were great. Our breakfast was French toast with bananas, croque monsoiur and a Bennie. All were delicious and freshly prepared with quality ingredients.. Staff was friendly and efficient. The place was hopping!

We ordered the full breakfast and wild mushroom toast. It was really good and enjoyed every bit of it. You might have to walk like 10 - 15 min from Edinburgh Castle and it’s worth it.

We had haggis benedict and salmon benedict and burger and coffee. Their method of making haggis and all the other foods brings up their best flavours while complimenting each other. I enjoyed it very much. Very close to where I stayed too.

Our brunch was fantastic! We were expecting the star of the show to be the Croque Monsieur French Toast. which WAS lovely. But the meaty power bowl BBQ Pulled Pork, Balsamic Root Veg/Kale, Lemon Vinaigrette, Chorizo & Chilli Jam, Poached Egg, Green Apple good grief, it was AMAZING! They had a nice kids' menu, accompanied by good hot chocolate. We had some long gaps in attention. Nothing alarming, just noticeable. The WCs were clean, and we had a very good view of government protests.
